We are a mother/daughter team on a mission – 2 Girls with a Goal!

Bethani, the illustrator, is Autistic with learning disabilities and panic attacks. I’m Aunt Goodness, the author, and I wrote Dancing With Butterflies: A First Book of Friendship after an especially difficult day of homeschooling, complete with a very bad panic attack. That day, we remembered that even though bad days happen, we can love each other through them and focus on the good things.

Our mission is three-fold:

1. To promote early learning using rhyme, repetition, and rhythm to encourage early cognitive development.

2. To encourage home educators and parents of children with disabilities.

3. To provide resources and ideas to turn our books into mini lessons for homeschoolers and to develop young readers.

My kids are grown now and recently I realized that all my tears had watered gardens of joy. Yes, it was hard homeschooling 3 children with different disabilities, but they are amazing adults and parents of their own kids now.
